Once A HorseGirl Always A

HORSE GIRL

Ever just wonder where life has gone or how you got where you are today?

Yea Me too.

Growing up with an older family, I happen to be one of those "oops" unplanned babies, Both my parents being in their forties meant being raised in generations other than the current.

My Siblings, of course, are a decade or two older than me as well, So reflecting on older photographs of life before me and documenting moments around me growing up was always something I enjoyed. Plus I am kind of a nerd for History as well.

Dreamer, nah I like to call myself a visionary...

I am a goal-setter.
Planners make me happy, You also can never go wrong with a good vision board.

How did I get to San Angelo, Texas?

You are wondering how a girl like me with roots in Maine met somebody from Oregon?

Well, you know that saying when somebody walks into a bar...

Kidding, I do not believe there is a saying... However, one night I was spending some time with friends and I met this chap (Justin) who swept me off my feet...Quite literally, the dance moves were questionable...
(joking of course)

Where ever the leaf blows I will go...

Not literally, Justin's work takes us to new locations frequently. This is why (as you see on our little map) we have lived in locations such as Spearfish, South Dakota down to our current location in San Angelo, Texas.

My Life as a
Photorapher

Being creative has always been a part of my life.
We were one of those families with the first computer kind of thing. (A 95 Packard Bell, to truly show my age..).
My mother always said 'She was born knowing the computer' I don't believe I would go that far.. But I surely took to technology easier than one would anticipate.
I love making Banners and seeing what I could create.. well let me tell you when you could design your own Myspace you bet I was all over that with custom music and theme to match.
As the years progressed I was asked to manage websites along with rebuilds.
More requests came in for publications and Logo designs.

So then I decided I should continue with this creative adventure and offer my service to the public!

My Life as a
Graphic Designer

Life is short, A saying you hear all too often.
But it truly is one of the reasons for my passion for photography. There are many things that are not the same in my life but having images to reflect on has been a great way to remember the good times and those that are no longer with us.
My Photography became more when I was in 4-H and needed to complete different projects to submit to local fairs.
As I grew older and knew I wanted to pursue photography more I took all the opportunities I could to grow my skills and gain experience in many different settings.
I have been lucky to work with some talented Wedding photographers, was a School and Sports photographer for over 5 years earning some National awards. More recently the coolest has been to work alongside some of the best Equine photographers across the nation.

Other Adventures..

I believe it is slightly more than just that,
Runs in my blood you could say.
They have been a part of my life before I was even born.
My Mother got bit by the horse bug when she was eight years old and my grandmother made plans then to purchase her first pony "Sparky".

So you like horses...

She took the midnight train going anywhere...

I know you started singing, you never can go wrong with some Journey...

The handsome four-legged fella you see is my main boy "Cody" also known by his official name "Code of Investment".
You will often see him in a lot of my content as I subject him to being my model more than he would like.

You may have noticed, I am obsessed with travel and new locations, in 2017 I was blessed to go on the adventure of a lifetime with my close friends.
I finally got to check off my bucket list my dream destination.

Ireland and it was everything I pictured and more!
We also had four other stops along the way... Iceland, France, Portugal & Spain.
Let's just say, I am ready to go back! Destination Shoot anyone?!

Shoot me a message below and we can start planning something special!
